There are many ideas about what improves mental health. Therapists utilize various theories and strategies, and it is important that you are comfortable with your therapist's unique approach.
Therapy is a tool that can help you create a life that is satisfying and joyful as well as weather the storms of life's transitions and challenges. I am committed to being authentic, and I consider it an honor to be invited on my client's journey of self-discovery.
It is not unusual to feel nervous at first. Therapy requires you to share private thoughts and feelings for the purpose of developing greater awareness of your emotional world. Within a supportive therapeutic relationship, you can expect the nervousness to dissipate, but this does not mean that there will never be times when you feel challenged or uncomfortable. These feelings are a natural response to reflecting on some of life's experiences and choices.
